Gina Melendez is currently the Site Lean Leader for Parker Hannifin Corp. Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division in Devens, M.A., a division of Parker's Aerospace Group. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a Master’s degree in Management with a concentration in Operations Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Gina discovered her passion for manufacturing and operations management as a cell leader within the Manufacturing Engineering Development Program at Pratt & Whitney. In her current role as a Site Lean Leader, she responsible for setting and leading the site in their continuous improvement journey via the application of the Parker Lean System. Gina has been featured in SHPE The Official Magazine of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineer in a piece called Back to Work, America! Latinas at the Forefront of Manufacturing. Gina has extensive experience with STEM-driven youth programming, with a focus on engaging minority students in project development, building leadership and communication skills, and increasing professional networks through mentorship opportunities. She is passionate about empowering our young people to become insightful, productive, and contributing members of our global society.
Gina’s role is to support ManyMentors’ mission and objectives via strategic planning and execution, leading more efficient ways to align with partners, provide services, and evaluate effectiveness and impact.
